I’m Matt Stern. The person who builds your website, runs your SEO, and picks up the phone when something needs fixing.
I got my start on the internet in 2013, when I started a little blog about gardening and garden tools (it’s still kicking). I fell in love with the web design process, and began devouring everything I could related to design, development and typography.
I built my first client site in 2016 and haven’t looked back. After a few years of design work, I started noticing a pattern: most of my clients had decent-looking websites that weren’t doing much for their businesses. That sent me deep into local SEO — how Google actually decides which businesses to show, what it takes to rank when it matters, and why most local businesses are leaving real money on the table.
Those two threads, design that converts and SEO that drives real traffic, became the foundation of everything I do. I’ve been at this for over a decade now, and I still find it genuinely interesting.
When I’m not online, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids, tending to our 5 acres in Oregon and playing pickleball.
I feel fortunate to do this work. It’s challenging, rewarding and it connects me with interesting and hard-working people from a variety of industries and walks of life.
